AMREL’s LOAD PROGRAMMABLE ELECTRONIC LOADS

The AMREL eLoad line of Electronic Loads is the most extensive product offering available from a single manufacturer. The eLoad line offers two different cooling configurations, the Air-cooled line and the Water-cooled Line.

The eLOAD WATER-COOLED line of programmable electronic loads is comprised of the PLW series.

The PLW water-cooled electronic load is available in a large range of configurations (6kW to 18kW (2U), including standard systems 100kW+. When your application calls for it, the PLW is capable of ultra-low voltage operation at high current. In addition, the eLOAD water-cooled electronic load was designed with a water control valve and protection circuitry to eliminate internal condensation.

The eLOAD AIR-COOLED line of programmable electronic loads is comprised of four series:

• High-power PLA series from 800W to 7.5kW as standard.
• Low-power electronic load PEL series from 60W to 300W.
• Low profile electronic load LPL series 1U high 600W.
• Low-voltage electronic load FEL series from 60W-300W.
• Zero-voltage electronic load ZVL series from 60W to 300W

PLA Air-cooled Series

The PLA programmable electronic load is available in a large selection of voltage and current ratings. The voltage ratings can be as low as 60V, which operates at full current at .6V, and as high as 1000V. The current dissipation of these units can be as high as 1500Amps standard, but will reach much higher levels when units are paralleled. These programmable loads are available in the following wattage ratings: 800W, 1.5kW, 2kW, 2.5kW, 3kW, 4kW, 5kW, and 7.5kW. Higher wattage systems of 100kW+ are available upon request.

PEL Air-cooled Series

The PEL programmable electronic load is available in a number of voltage and current ratings. The voltage ratings can be as low as 0.6V, which operates at full current below 1V, and as high as 600V. The standard current dissipation of these units can be as high as 120Amps, but will reach higher levels when units are paralleled. These eLOAD programmable loads come in the following wattage ratings: 60W, 150W, 300W, and 600W.

LPL Air-cooled Series

The LPL’s ultra-compact design provides test system engineers with the ultimate solution when limited space is a factor. The LPL programmable electronic load provides 600W of dissipation in a rack mounted 1U high package. With a multi-function keypad and manual encoder on the front panel, as well as full connectivity on the rear, there’s no sacrificing size for features with this high density, fully functional 1U high eLOAD.

FEL Air-cooled Series

The FEL programmable electronic load for fuel cell applications is available in a targeted range of voltage and current ratings that are typically used for single cell applications. The voltage ratings can be as low as 10V, which operates at full current at .4V, and at half current at .2V. This means that the 300W, 10V FEL can dissipate 200A at .4V and 100A at .2V. By meeting these application requirements, the user can choose AMREL’s smaller FEL load for his single cell application, thus saving space and money. These programmable fuel cell loads come in the following wattage ratings: 60W, 150W and 300W.

ZVL Air-cooled Series

The ZVL zero-volt programmable electronic load is the smartest and most economical zero-volt solution on the market.  AMREL’s ZVL electronic load is a feature-packed, precision controlled eLoad, with the highest “Bench-top 0-V” current density on the market. The ZVL eLoad ranges from 60W to 300W, 0 to 120Adc, with a broad voltage density range of 10 to 150Vdc. In addition, the ZVL offers 3mV resolution1 for precision constant voltage control and 60uA resolution2 for precision constant current control. It’s easy to navigate key layout allows users to maximize control and maneuverability while capturing data for polarization curve plotting.
