The SPS series offers one of the most extensive product offerings of any dc switching power supply line on the market. With over 100 different models in countless voltage and current combinations, the SPS series has a unit to fit almost any dc power supply application. Standard wattage ranges are: 1.2kW, 3.3kW, 6.6kW, 10kW, 13.3kW, 16.6kW, 20kW, 26.6kW, 30kW, and 45kW. The SPD model offers a dual channel power supply in a 1U-High form factor with output ratings from 300W to 360W per channel. Voltage and current max ratings of 8V to 300V and 1A to 40A. All SPD models offer standard GPIB, RS-232 and RS-485 interfaces. In addition, an embedded Ethernet interface is available as an option. The SPD dual channel power supplies are available in two front panel styles allowing greater flexibility in how the end-user desires to program the power supply.
There is no longer a need to send your ePOWER switching power supply back to the factory to be calibrated or remove dozens of screws to reach a potentiometer. Simply follow the AMREL calibration routine from the front panel and you should be back up and running in a very short period of time (some electronic test equipment needed). This will virtually eliminate down time and eradicate the annual cost associated with shipping the ePOWER power supply back to the factory for calibration.
The SPS series offers programmable protection for over-voltage and over-current. Both programmable protection features are available through the front panel as well as the computer interfaces.
The SPS series provides full front panel control of all the available features. A multi-function keypad allows the user to access all settings via an easy to understand menu system. An LCD is provided to display important functions and readings.
All SPS programmable dc power supplies come with both RS-232 and GPIB IEEE-488 standard. Connectors for both are provided on the rear of the unit and instructions for configuring are in the manual.
The SPS programmable dc power supplies are also available with optional Ethernet and USB interfaces. This option is field upgradeable by the end user with minimal effort.
The SPS series is designed for high efficiency and power factor. With an efficiency specification of 90% and a power factor greater than .9 the SPS switching power supply is ideal for all high power applications.
