My name is Darren Lingafeldt and I am President of Nexjen Systems a systems integration company headquartered in Charlotte, NC. I’m writing because I want to make you aware of the excellent customer support we received from Javier on an issue this week.
Our company is in the process of building two custom test systems that include Amrel SPS 600 Programmable DC Supplies. We were commissioning the 2nd of the two systems last Friday when we found that we had a GPIB communications problem with the SPS supply. We were under time pressure, because the customers for the systems were flying in Thursday of this week for witnessed acceptance testing. I called Amrel on Monday and we received some phone support from Javier. He worked diligently with us over the phone to debug the issue. Having two identical supplies made it easier to debug the problem and identify that one of the supplies definitely had a GPIB issue.
Javier provided me with an RMA and we shipped the supply back to Amrel on Monday evening. The supply was received Tuesday and was found to have a problem with a trace on the GPIB board. The problem was corrected and the supply was shipped back over night. We received it in time for our witnessed acceptance test and it worked correctly.
We include a programmable DC supply in the majority of the ATEs we build. The timely customer support provided by Amrel and Javier has made a lasting impression and will not be forgotten.
