Features applicable to the 3kW Digital
The SPS 3kW Digital programmable switch mode power supply provides a simple yet elegant user interface.  Dual high-intensity LED displays provide real-time voltage and current measurements.  For local control, users can easily adjust all programmable settings on the fly via dual digital encoders.   While the illuminating front panel on/off key, and multi-purpose tri-colored LEDs keep users informed of the unit’s operating status, fault protection trips, programmed settings and CV/CC operating modes.

In addition, the SPS 3kW Premium programmable switch mode power supply comes standard with RS-232, GPIB IEEE-488 and RS-485 interfaces, including master-slave capability.  Standard LabVIEW and LabWindows drivers provide simple ATE Integration, and a complete set of SCPI Commands provide flexible programmability.  Connectors are provided on the rear of the unit. Instructions for configuring are in the manual.  Users can begin testing locally or remotely via computer interface within minutes.

Closed-case Calibration
With the ePower line, you’ll never have to send your programmable dc switch mode power supply back to the factory for calibration or remove dozens of screws to reach a potentiometer.  Simply follow the AMREL calibration routine using the front panel and you should be back up and running in a very short period of time (some electronic test equipment needed).  This will virtually eliminate downtime and eradicate the annual cost associated with shipping your SPS3kW back to the factory for calibration.

Limit Protection
The SPS 3kW switching power supply offers limit protection for over-voltage, over-current, and over-temperature.  During an over-limit condition the output is shut down instantly to protect both the unit under power and the power supply.

For lights-out testing and ATE system automation, the SPS offers fault dry contact to signal faults in the case of protection mode trips.  Remote shut down of the unit is easily achievable via the low-active remote inhibit for interlock and redundant system protection.
