In January of 1991, AMREL became the first company to introduce the notebook computer to the American market. AMREL’s Computer Division remains a leading manufacturer of fully rugged mobile computing solutions within military, robotics, biometrics, public safety, field service, and other markets. AMREL’s fully rugged computer lines include military and industrial grade notebooks, tablets, handhelds, and three-piece in-vehicle fixed computers.
AMREL’s computer designs have repeatedly set new standards in the rugged mobile computing industry. Our ROCKY was the industry’s first Pentium® powered, fully water-resistant, rugged notebook computer - earning the prestigious “Best New Product Award” at Fose in 1996. Since then, our ROCKY rugged computer line has claimed at least eight other “firsts” to market.
Established in 2007, AMREL’s Medical Division designs and manufactures innovative new 60601 fully rugged, medical computing platforms that are setting new standards within the industry.
Our latest division is for the development of hybrid renewable energy systems. AMREL’s Renewable Energy Division expects these to be practical for low-income populations living in off-grid remote areas as well as Defense Forces who need intelligent power-management for durable, mobile systems.
Each division’s outstanding team of engineers have the proven ability, direction, and determination necessary to fully address our customer’s unique priorities through technologically advanced products and fully customized solutions. With representatives around the world, AMREL is dedicated to providing unsurpassed products, service and support to our customers.
AMREL’s divisions and strategic partners currently have over fifteen patents pending. These innovative new technologies are further testimony to AMREL’s commitment to develop solutions that improve the quality of life worldwide.
