- AMERICAN RELIANCE, INC.
introduced today the PLW Series, a new line of high-density
programmable electronic water-cooled loads. Ideal for
fuel cell, power supply and high power /high current battery
testing, the PLW series' 3.5" (2U) tall 6KWatt units
are the smallest water-cooled electronic loads available
on the market today and can be paralleled with 1.75"
(1U) tall slave units to maximize power capabilities.
The PLW product line includes various models ranging from
6 to 22KWatts. Utilizing master/slave capabilities, the
series can achieve power levels up to 700KWatts.
Capitalizing on a sophisticated heat sink design and water-cooling
techniques, the PLW series is quieter and smaller than
standard air-cooled electronic loads, and is equipped
with a variety of features, including: four constant operating
modes (constant power, voltage, current & resistance);
transient and pulse programming from 0.1Hz to 20KHz with
a transition time of less than 10 micro-seconds; 99-points
of dynamic power profile programming, programmable protection
settings; and a standard GPIB or RS-232 (co-existent)
interface bus.
The PLW incorporates full copper piping irrigation for
reliable and effective heat removal and is available with
an optional regulator for flow control. A self-decondensation
circuit is provided to eliminate condensation on the heat
sink in high-humidity environments. Calibration can be
achieved through the master unit's front panel or through
remote operation performed via the standard GPIB/RS-232
interface bus. All PLW Series' models are available as
customized rack mounted solutions. Contact American Reliance
for further details.
