AMREL FUELS THE BATTLE AGAINST CRIME WITH PUBLIC SAFETY DISCOUNTS
AMREL is offering a 5% discount to public safety organizations in an effort to assist in equipping all public safety staff with tools they need to combat rising crime rates.
August 30, 2001 – AMREL Systems llc – The Federal Bureau of Investigation’s preliminary Uniform Crime Report has shown that the downward crime rate trend is now moving in reverse. With the first increase in the violent crime, forcible rape, aggravated assault, larceny theft, and motor vehicle theft categories in over five years, the recent decrease in grant money allocated to public safety agencies may agitate the already swollen crime rate and cause further escalation. To aid public safety organizations in acquiring technology that could potentially improve communications, ease the dispatch workload, reduce voice traffic, reduce transcription errors, and provide field staff with access to various local, state and national databases, AMREL is now offering a 5% discount to public safety organizations.
By providing public safety organizations with this discount, AMREL is hoping to be able to compensate for the cutback in funding, and enable organizations with limited funding to afford our mobile computing systems. For public safety organizations with adequate funding, this incentive will enable officials to consider options -such as GPS, CDPD, or extra memory- that would normally be out of budget range.
Public safety organizations interested in taking advantage of this discount must fill out and submit a form on AMREL’s website at www.AMREL.com. The individual applying will be asked to provide an e-mail address. AMREL will use this address to forward a discount confirmation number, which should be kept and provided to the sales representative. The confirmation number will be used by AMREL to ensure that the discount is correctly applied and to ensure that only recognized public safety organizations will be granted this discount. Discount confirmation numbers are only valid for purchases made from July 1, 2001 through December 31, 2001.
