ROCKY Apex computers must come equipped to operate under a variety of extreme conditions. That’s why AMREL’s rugged tablets are MIL-STD 810F compliant for resistance to rain, shock, humidity, vibration, salt fog, altitude, and extreme temperatures. Additionally, units are compliant to Industrial Standard IP54 for dust proof and water resistance. The combination of MIL-STD 810F and IP54 makes this rugged tablet virtually indestructible.
Unlike other rugged tablets on the market, the Apex is capable of running with a full Windows XP operating system (not just the tablet version). Users can be confident that the Apex will not only be a dependable and reliable rugged tablet but will also provide maximum functionality with WIN XP.
Sealed in a magnesium casing, the Apex is resistive to the tough environmental concerns public safety and industrial professionals may come in contact with. The sealed port and connector covers provide further protection against foreign matters and help ensure that the rugged tablet stays in a productive working mode. As a precautionary measure to reduce the likelihood of damage, the rugged tablet is rain, dust, vibration, and shock resistant as well.
