Industry Leading 4" VGA Display with 480 x 640 Resolution
The DA-I fully rugged PDA is the first in its size category to offer a large 4" VGA display with a resolution of 480x640, making the screen four-times clearer than most PDA displays, which feature 240x320 displays. The large display of the DA-I allows users to experience increased ease of data input and overall readability.

The Rocky DA-I model PDA features two USB 2.0 ports for maximum device integration with the greatest of ease. The standard PCMCIA slot allows for the easy integration of CF or SD memory cards, for use with the integrated digital camera. As always, the DA-I PDA can be further customized to meet any customers' needs through AMREL's "Customizable COTS System."
Multiple Operating System Availability
We offer a choice of two different operating systems for the DA5-I Rugged PDAs - Windows CE.NET 5.0 or Windows Mobile 5.0. Each operating system equips users with the most powerful information tools to plan, track, and execute their jobs or missions. Both of these operating systems are fully compatible with a myriad of third-party software and hardware configurations for near limitless customization.
New Biometric Intelligence Application
For use as a security device, the DA5-I industrial grade, fully rugged PDAs can be equipped with advanced biometric hardware and software. This includes the ability to run the latest 2D/3D facial, fingerprint, iris scan, and voice recognition software. In addition to all of this, the DA-I rugged PDA platform can also be customized to capture and transmit video, read barcodes and even scan smart cards.
MIL-STD-810F Certified
A fully rugged PDA must be equipped to operate under a variety of extreme conditions. That's why AMREL's fully rugged computers are certified to MIL-STD-810F for use in the harshest environments. This standard ensures our rugged tablets are resistant to rain, shock, humidity, vibration, salt fog, altitude and extreme temperatures. Our ROCKY rugged PDAs are also IP54 industrial certified, making them dust and water resistant by industrial standards.
The combination of the MIL-STD-810F and IP54 certifications make AMREL's rugged computers virtually indestructible and immune to the elements.
Rugged PDA Additional Options
Our DA5-I industrial grade, rugged PDA is available with a secondary 3.7V 3900mAH Lithium-Ion rechargeable smart battery or double capacity 7800mAH battery (double thickness of standard).
Additional options available are GPS, digital compass, wireless 802.11 b/g, and a Bluetooth module for instant access to data; our rugged PDA can be also be equipped with voice recognition software for additional system security.
