Biometric Identification
Since September 11, 2001, Homeland Security has significantly increased our nation's security to ensure the safety our country and its people. The effects of this tragic event have rippled throughout other countries, leading to the rise of biometric identification. To help increase the accuracy and speed in identifying terrorists or potential threats, AMREL has developed biometric computer solutions to provide key military personnel with the latest biometric technologies such as fingerprint, facial, iris, and voice recognition.

Robotics
In the battlefield or unfamiliar territories, there is a high risk of sending in and losing our troops to an ambush or undetected explosives. Therefore, the need to deploy unmanned systems (UMS) like robots significantly decreases the chance of lives lost while increasing the success of the mission.
Working closely with some of the largest robotics and unmanned vehicle systems manufacturers, we provide the latest in robotic operator control units (OCU) by customizing the ROCKY rugged notebook with our patent-pending "smart bay" embedded as a one-piece solution. |

Communications
Whether monitoring supply inventory at a remote base or transferring sensitive information to headquarters, field operations must be executed in a secure, reliable, and timely manner. That is why we provide the most advanced wireless options available today. From wireless LAN, to GPS and a multitude of other wireless options, AMREL military computers are second-to-none in handling wireless communications out in the field.
Our fully rugged military computers are also built to meet or exceed MIL-STD 810F for environmental ruggedness and resistance to the elements. Additionally, AMREL military systems are engineered to meet MIL-STD-461 standards to ensure resistance against electromagnetic interference, such as radio frequencies, magnetic fields, and/or any other electrical source that may be disruptive.

Training
Proper planning and live training sessions are crucial when preparing for any mission critical situation. Throughout the years, AMREL rugged military computers have been the tool of choice for military personnel participating in battlefield simulation training. Our systems are equipped to allow training in tactical information transfers, retrieving command instructions, and enabling intra-exercise communications during simulated maneuvers. This allows all information to be tracked and later analyzed for efficiency and accuracy. |

Aircraft Targeting Systems
As part of an integrated targeting system developed for F-16 aircraft, our ROCKY rugged military notebook is used to relay traffic coordinates from personnel on the ground to aircraft pilots for operational precision. This data allows pilots to respond with accurate and timely weapons delivery to their designated targets.
AMREL's rugged military computers are used for arranging surgical strikes from the air, providing additional fire support for ground troops, or keying in on targets that are out of ground artillery range. |

Counter Mortar Detection
The ROCKY DA-M military PDA has been integrated by SRCTEC, a nationally recognized leader in the design, development, and manufacturing of advanced radar, Electronic Warfare (EW), as the OCU for their Lightweight Counter Mortar Radar System (LCMR for short).
The LCMR has recently come into service to help counter the increasing mortar and rocket threat posed to the isolated forward operating bases. The LCMR is versatile, effective and is tactically mobile by helicopter or in most types of vehicles. With a crew of just two, it has a minimal impact on logistics at isolated bases. Targets located have been successfully handed off to a variety of strike systems, including guns, our own mortars, aircraft and attack helicopters, each of which calls for a different sensor-to-shooter communications link. |

Testing
The ROCKY military computer has been used in conjunction with testing equipment to measure, record, and analyze data gathered from military equipment and devices out in the field.
An example of this performance is the "COLT Tester", which is a multiple application-based testing platform designed for F-22 and B-2 aircraft. The AMREL rugged military notebook operates as the Portable Display Controller Unit (PDUC) for Lockheed Martin's Common Organizational Level Tester (COLT). This system performs maintenance duties and tasks that verify the operational capabilities of an aircrafts' electronic system and provides valuable information for operators and mission observers, alike.
AMREL's rugged military computers are also being utilized by DME in the VIPER/T. DME is currently under contract as the primary test equipment supplier of the Virtual Instrument Portable Equipment Repair/Test (VIPER/T) [TETS] to the United States Marine Corps. VIPER/T (TETS) consists of VXI analog, digital and RF instrumentation controlled by the ROCKY notebook/custom docking station running Windows (NT/2000/XP) and programmed with the ATLAS test language
Featuring full MIL-STD 461 certification for electromagnetic interference shielding, our military computers' performance will not be affected by any radio frequencies, magnetic fields and/or any other disruptive electronic interference. |

Battlefield Management
Our ROCKY rugged military computers have also been customized and fully integrated into theatres of operation as a battlefield management tool and mobile command post to access/transfer sensitive battlefield data and tactical information.
With MIL-STD-810F certification as a standard feature, our systems are built tough to withstand rain, humidity, shock and intense vibration. This further ensures the overall safety and security of all information carried within our rugged military computing systems. |
