Programmable Glowing Function Keys
The AMREL DR-M and DK-M military grade rugged tablets are equipped with six programmable, nightglow function keys that allow for flawless mission function in low light environments. Powered by exposure to any light source, these keys will maintain a strong nightglow for several hours in absolute darkness.

AMREL's rugged tablet computers feature multiple I/O ports for diverse device-integration. In addition to the standard LAN,
Serial and USB ports, our tablets also can be customized to retrofit a military DC power connector port. AMREL's rugged tablets can also be
expanded by utilizing our mini-PCI and/or PCMCIA Type II slots.
MIL-STD-810F Certified
Military grade, fully rugged tablets must be equipped to operate under a variety of extreme conditions. Certified to MIL-STD-810F, the ROCKY fully rugged tablet computers are resistant to rain, shock, humidity, vibration, salt fog, altitude and extreme temperatures. Our ROCKY rugged tablets are also IP54 certified, making them dust and water resistant by industrial standards.
The combination of MIL-STD-810F and IP54 certifications ensures that AMREL's military grade rugged tablet computers are immune to the harshest environmental conditions.
MIL-STD-461 Certified
An independent lab has certified the DR-M and DR-K military grade rugged tablets to meet or exceed MIL-STD-461E for electromagnetic interference shielding. This certification ensures the shielding of the DR-M and DK-M rugged tablets against electromagnetic interference such as radio frequencies, magnetic fields, and other disruptive interference. Full Windows XP Operating System
Unlike most rugged tablet computers currently on the market, our ROCKY military grade, fully rugged tablet computers run the full version of Microsoft Windows XP Professional – not just the tablet version. This operating system ensures that our rugged tablets will perform with maximum performance and scalability while out in the field.
Additional Standard Features
AMREL builds the DK-M and DR-M military grade rugged tablet computers to resist extreme environments. Both the rugged tablets have sealed ports, watertight connector covers, and a removable Lithium-Ion battery. For further versatility and functionality, these rugged tablets also come equipped with an Intel® (ULV) Ultra Low-Voltage processor, removable hard drive, and wireless ready design. A rugged military connector is also available with our military grade rugged computers.
Operating on a full version of Microsoft Windows XP Professional, AMREL's rugged tablet computers provide military personnel the advanced information tools necessary for field deployment.
The DR-M offers a daylight visible 8.4" display while the DK-M offers a daylight visible 12" display.
Other Options
The DR-M and DK-M rugged tablets have additional features available for further mobility and flexibility. Some of these options include an adjustable stand with a locking mechanism, a mountable dock-light system for port expansion and replication, and a second external battery for longer wireless runtime.
AMREL's rugged tablet computers are also compatible with a myriad of third-party software and hardware configurations. Together with our available "Customizable COTS" system, we can fabricate any computer to fit our customer's individualized needs.
